Grand Theft Auto V’s (also known as GTAV) arrival on Next-Gen consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S has been delayed to March 2022.

Rockstar Games officially announced the delay of GTAV via a trailer which was unveiled at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase on Thursday, the previous launch date of this game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S was November 11th, 2021.

“Rockstar Games promises that these next-gen incarnations of Grand Theft Auto V will include technical and graphical improvements, including better performance when driving a select number of vehicles in GTA Online. In addition, the standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online will be free-to-play for the first three months on PlayStation 5, before a paid standalone title later in 2022.”

As per NotebookCheck, this does not look good for those who are eagerly waiting for the GTA 6 release.

“This is a major disappointment for fans of the popular multiplayer mode of GTA V, which is just called GTA Online. Before the delay was officially announced, gamers expected the next-gen 4K upgrade for GTA 5 to arrive later this year. But it is also bad news for players who are anxiously waiting for the announcement and release of GTA 6.”
