DICE has delayed the launch of Battlefield 2042 video game from October to November as per their press release on Twitter.

Previously, the arrival of military shooter video game Battlefield 2042 was set to October 22 but the video game’s launch has been delayed to November 19 and the reason given by the company is of course “Global Pandemic.”

“We’ve made the decision to shift the launch of Battlefield 2042. The game will now be released worldwide on November 19th, 2021.”

“Building the next generation of Battlefield during a global pandemic has created unforeseen challenges for our development teams. Given the scale and scope of the game, we had hoped our teams would be back in our studios together as we move towards launch. With the ongoing conditions not allowing that to happen safely, and with all the hard work the teams are doing from home, we feel it is important to take the extra time to deliver on the vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players.”

“Updates on the open beta will be coming later this month.”

DICE said on Twitter

Battlefield 2042 will be the seventeenth installment in the Battlefield series and serve as a successor to Battlefield V which was launched back in 2018. The video game will be an FPS shooter just like its predecessors. The game is developed by DICE and published by EA.

The game is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
